About Me: Carrie Sharkey

I have always loved baking. For the longest time, I fought the idea of taking up baking as a career because I believed that turning my passion into my job would suck away all the joy and creativity. Thankfully, since officially launching Sharkey’s Sweets in 2021, my love for baking has only grown.

When COVID hit and the world shut down, I began baking a ton to keep my sanity. My baby was super chill so I spent hours each day practicing recipes and giving the experiments to neighbors and friends. The joy I felt from doing so was contagious and I decided after my second child was born that I would walk away from my corporate job for good. Best decision I have ever made…minus my hubby and kids.

My goal for each and every order is to provide not only beautiful but tasty creations that my customers love. As a small confectionary artist, I long for creative, unique, and challenging orders.
